Image Use Category and Definition

• Commercial

  All image uses in this category requires a commercial license. This include but not limited to:

• Editorial

  - refers to uses in newspapers, articles, books, magazines, online contents and others where its contents are primarily informational, educational or entertaining. Editorial uses generally do not require model and property releases.

• Advertising

  - refers to promotional uses on TV, radio, internet, billboards, print ads ...etc. Advertising use requires model or property release. Any promotional use in which the subject (recognizable people or prominent structure) of the image are use to endorse a product or service requires model or property release. This may apply to corporate, self-promotion, and fund-raising uses as well.

• Corporate

  - refers to uses in corporate newsletters, brochures, annual reports, company websites, promotional products (cups, hats, t-shirts ...etc).

• Self-Promotion and Fund-Raising

  - This refers to uses in one's stationary, name cards, flyers, websites ...etc.; and in connection with fund-raising activities, such as banners, posters, t-shirts ...etc., irrespective of whether the organization is nonprofit.

You may download the watermarked images for "comping" or creating layout test sample or mock-ups for the sole purpose of client presentation. Final image use must be licensed.

• Non-Commercial

  All image use in this category is for non-commercial, non-distributed uses only, and needs to follow the conditions for free image use guidelines below:

    - refers to uses within one's personal (single) sphere, such as using images as screen savers or as background images in your computer. You may not compile (into digital formats such into CDs, or paper forms such as books) them for distribution and reproduction.
